The $20K Truck With No Paint, No Radio, and a Big Idea.
The Slate Truck is a new electric pickup truck made in the U.S. that will cost less than $20,000 after government discounts. It’s very simple—no touchscreen, no radio, no paint, and no fancy tech. It only comes in gray, fits two people, and goes about 150 miles on one charge. If you want music, you’ll need to bring your own phone and Bluetooth speaker.
This truck is for people who like to build and customize things. It’s meant to be a “blank slate” so that owners can personalize it with add-ons. It’s made from plastic instead of metal, which makes it tougher and cheaper to produce. There’s no paint because that would cost more. Instead, Slate will sell vinyl wrap kits so you can change the color and look at home.

The Scam That Pretends Your Family Is Kidnapped.
The FBI are warning people, especially those in the Latino community, about a dangerous scam called virtual kidnapping. This is when scammers pretend to have kidnapped a family member and demand money, even though no one is actually taken.
Here’s how it usually happens: you get a call or message, often from a private number or with an area code from out of the country. The scammer speaks Spanish and says they are holding someone in your family, like your daughter. They may even play scary sounds in the background, like a woman screaming. Sometimes they say your loved one was in a car crash and can’t go to the hospital until you pay.
Meet the Magazine Bringing Mexican Music to Life.
One day, a cool photo of a singer named DannyLux wearing a purple bullfighter outfit and holding a laser gun led them to learn about Cynthia, a new bilingual magazine all about Música Mexicana, a style of Mexican music that’s becoming very popular around the world.
Música Mexicana has been around for a long time, but during the pandemic, it grew even more. Many young artists started learning instruments at home using YouTube and shared their songs on TikTok. Now, they have big fan bases and are even at the top of music charts.
Latin Stars Ready to Take Over U.S. Tours in 2025.
Latin music had a huge year in 2024, with five major artists making over $100 million from their tours. These artists were Luis Miguel, Bad Bunny, Karol G, RBD, and Aventura. That’s a big jump compared to 2023 and 2022. According to Billboard, Latin artists made up 16% of the top 100 tours in 2024 — the highest ever.
Luis Miguel earned the most money with his tour, making $290.4 million from 128 shows. Bad Bunny followed with $211.4 million from just 49 concerts. Their tours were also among the top 10 highest-earning tours of the year, right up there with Coldplay, Madonna, and The Rolling Stones.
